Make-Up Assignment- The Elder Wand

While Voldemort believes because he stole the Elder Wand from Dumbldore's grave, he is not the true master because he didn't win the wand's allegiance. He kills Snape because once he realizes that the wand won't work for him, but he was not at the Astronomy Tower the night Dumbledore died, and he did not know that it was really Draco Malfoy who won the Elder Wand from Dumbledore. When Harry grabbed Malfoy's wands at the Malfoy Manor, even though neither of them physically had the Elder Wand in their possession, the wand changed its allegiance to Harry. This enabled Harry to beat Voldemort at the end with a disarming spell. Harry decides that the Elder Wand is too powerful for any witch or wizard to have, so he decides to place it back in Dumbledore's tomb without telling anyone else of its existence. He knows as long as he dies a natural death, the power of the Elder Wand will die with him.
