The Harry Potter series was a long and winding road that, for me, was a struggle and a balancing act  between watching the movies and reading books. I began the series reading the books after the first 3 movies were released. That being said, it was hard for me to get emotionally attached to the characters aside from the movie adaptations.

However, finishing the series I was able to connect and understand how the books were written in such a beautiful manner. The ideas that Rowling emphasizes and utilizes are remarkable and I could not be more pleased with a character like Snape.

Snape is the pure embodiment of a misunderstood, underrepresented red haring throughout the entire series. Finally being able to look into Snape's past and view his memories showed me the strength and courage it took Snape to do everything he had to do, all for love. The ending of the series did not surprise me because I knew and hypothesized the amount of people that needed to die before harry could actually finish the job!

Out of our 3 heros, I was impressed with them all collectively (as always). They each showed courage, talent, and love for one another that saved them all in the end. Each of them has their own personal streghten however, together create the best team of al time!
